Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between the perception of democratic leadership style with employee job satisfaction, determine the level of perception of democratic leadership style and job satisfaction, and to determine the effective contribution of democratic leadership style perception variables to job satisfaction. The hypothesis proposed is the relationship between the perception of democratic leadership style and employee job satisfaction. The method used in this study is quantitative correlational scale measuring tools for perception of democratic leadership style and job satisfaction scale. The research subjects were taken by random sampling technique totaling 70 employees. Analysis using Pearson product moment correlation techniques, and the results obtained are a very significant positive relationship between the perception of democratic leadership style and employee job satisfaction seen from data analysis that shows the results of correlation rxy = 0.790 and p = 0.0000 (p <0, 01). The variable perception of democratic leadership style has a medium category of 31.4% (22 subjects). Job satisfaction variable has a high category of 34.3% (24 Subjects). The effective contribution of the perception of democratic leadership style to job satisfaction is 62.41% which means there are 37.59% other factors that influence job satisfaction.
