Abstract

This Study aims to determine the relationship between the intensity of the use of the gadgets ang the learning achievement of class VIII students of Diponegoro Surakarta Islamic Middle School. The subject in this study were class VIII Diponegoro Surakarta Islamic Middle School, amounting to 70 subjects. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a measuring instrument in the form of an intensity scale using the gadget and documentation of the average value of UTS report card for students in the academic year 2018/2019. The data analysis technique used in this study is product moment correlation analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, the value of the correlation coefficient (r) is 0,118 and significance (p) of 0,165 (p>0,05), meaning that there is no relationship between the intensity of gadget use and the learning achievement of class VIII of Diponegoro Surakarta Islamic Middle School.
