Abstract

This research is motivated by the need to increase knowledge about earthquake disasters since Boyolali Regency is an area that is vulnerable to earthquakes. This study aims to (1) find out the development of scrapbook learning media about earthquake disasters in seventh grade students at Sawol Boyolali Middle School 3 (2) find out the increased knowledge of seventh grade students in Boyolali Sawit 3 Junior High School about earthquake disaster using scrapbook learning media . This type of research is Research and Development (R n D), with the Dick and Carey model. The subjects of this study were seventh grade students of Sawit Boyolali 3 State Junior High School, VII grade social studies teachers. Scrapbooking media has gone through a validation phase by material content experts and media content experts with an average score of 4.9 in the "VERY GOOD" category. The results showed that (1) the development of scrapbook learning media using the Teams Game Tournament (TGT) learning strategy was well and conducive, (2) there was an increase in knowledge about earthquake disasters with the following results: the experimental class given treatment (media scrapbook) contained the difference is pretest get 49.14 and posttest get 72.25 which shows a significant value of 000 <0.05. While the non-treatment control class received a pretest score of 51.43 and the posttest score was 69.13, it can be concluded that there was an increase in knowledge about earthquake disaster after receiving the treatment of using scrapbook media.
