Abstract

Study of Sociology of Literature and Implementation with Literature Learning in High School. Essay. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Muhammadiyah Surakarta university. July. 2018. The purpose of this study (1) Describe the structure of the novel, (2) Describe moral values, (3) Explain its implementation in literary learning. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used are library techniques and see and note. The technique of observing and recording technique means that the researcher as a key instrument is listening carefully, directed and carefully to the primary data source as the target of the researcher, namely in the form of Novel Pasar text in obtaining the desired data. The data analysis technique used in the study is the dialectical method of Lucien Goldmann. In this study using the sociology of literature approach. Literary sociology is an understanding of literary works by considering its social aspects. This study produced several findings (1) the market's novel structure in the form of themes, plot, characters, and story setting, (2) moral value is the value of honesty, responsibility, patience, and loyalty, (3) this research can be implemented as teaching material in senior high school. The appropriate basic competencies are KD 3.9 Analyzing the content and language of the novel and 3.14 identifying the values contained in a book of enrichment (nonfiction) and one drama book (fiction), class XII 2013 curriculum.
