Abstract

There are many students who have different backgrounds from one another. So with such circumstances every student is required to be able to socialize and cooperate with other students. In this study, the problem raised was how the application of Jigsaw cooperative learning model in accounting learning class XI Accounting at Prawira Marta Kartasura Vocational School. The purpose of this study is to motivate students to be more active and to transfer knowledge and skills as provisions in understanding accounting lessons. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research with ethnographic design. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews and documentation. Informants are five students of class XI Accounting and one accounting subject teacher class XI Accounting. Based on the results of the study it can be seen that the jigsaw learning model is preferred by students because students seem enthusiastic and enthusiastic in taking accounting lessons and students are more active in following the accounting learning process and students become more confident to come forward to explain the class results of his work. The benefits of using the jigsaw cooperative learning model in accounting learning are helping students in understanding the material with discussion or in groups, involving all students in learning so that students become more active and foster interest in independent learning and foster students' enthusiasm in taking accounting lessons.
