Abstract
Students should have reading, writing, researching, discussing, organizing, studying and being studying at university level, but not all students do the activity but doing some fun activities. The purpose of this study was to explain the description of hedonic lifestyle in the students and the hedonic lifestyle factors in the students. The subject of this research is 5 students of Surakarta X University who like to hang out or have fun in cafe, restaurant, and hotel. This study uses a qualitative approach and described in the form of descriptive. Data collection techniques used in this study are interviews. Data analysis is done by grouping into categories and describing the data obtained in accordance with the category. This study found that the five subjects perform activities that lead to the pleasure of the subject such as hanging out, shopping, vacation, dugem other than that the subject has an interest in something that is considered important and want to be different from the surrounding environment and have hope that leads to his own pleasure. Factors that can affect the hedonic lifestyle in students are attitude, experience and observation, perception, popularity, desire to be different, reference group, conformity, family, duration of use, fashion, value of money and boyfriend.
