Abstract
This study aims to examine (1) the effect of compensation on job satisfaction (2) the effect of compensation on employee performance (3) the effect of job satisfaction on employee performance (4) the effect of compensation on employee performance with job satisfaction as intervening variable. The sample used in this research is 106 employees at the PT. Iskandar Indah Printing Textile Surakarta through questionnaires with sampling technique purposive sampling. Data analysis techniques used are classical assumption test, path analysis with hypothesis testing, t test and F test. The result of t test analysis shows the partial influence between compensation to job satisfaction, job satisfaction to employee performance and compensation to employee performance. While the F test data shows the influence of simultaneously variable compensation and job satisfaction have a significant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, path analysis shows that job satisfaction is proven to mediate the effect of compensation on employee performance. Keywords: compensation, job satisfaction, employee performance.
