Abstract
This study aims to improve the process of writing expository text writing with jigsaw method in Kerjo State Senior High School. Purpose specifically (1) describe the condition of writing expository writing lesson that was carried out during this time in SMA Negeri Kerjo, (2) to know the needs of students in learning Indonesian about exposition texts using jigsaw method, and (3) to know the effectiveness of learning model of expository text writing with jigsaw method on learning method of lecturing at Kerjo State Senior High School. The results of research at this stage is students in studying Indonesian subjects, especially in learning to write an exposition text is very appropriate if using jigsaw method, namely introduction of learning, conditioning learning, implementation of learning, and closing learning. The results at the stage of the use of the jigsaw method show that learning to write expository texts with jigsaw methods is more effective than learning by lecture method.
