Abstract

The purpose of this research are: 1) To describe teacher empowerment from SMP Muhammadiyah 04 Sambi Boyolali and 2) To describe the empowerment of teacher of SMP Muhammadiyah 04 Sambi Boyolali regency from self. The research method is done with the approach qualiatative. The research design used phenomenology at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Sambi Boyolali, located on Jl. Bangak-Simo Km 4, Sambi, Boyolali District in November 2017-January 2018. Informants involved directly, among others, principals and teachers of grade 7, class 8, and class 9. Data collection techniques used are methods of interview and documentation. To test the validity of the data using triangulation method with multiple data sources to collect the same data. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques using interactive methods. The results showed that the empowerment of teachers in SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Sambi Boyolali has been done. Evidenced by planning, and implementation of training and delivery of teachers to attend training and advanced education conducted by the school in collaboration with principals and committees and related agencies. As for the empowerment of teachers independently in teaching and learning process in SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Sambi Boyolali in the form of teacher training that can be done by himself, in the form of overcoming problems during the process of teaching and learning. This is evident from the opinion of teachers who ditokohkan or the most senior as Mr. Tobaroni who became the center of some teachers to give his opinion if you find difficulty in the problem of teaching and learning process.
