Abstract
This study aims to describe the learning, planning, implementation obstacles, and the efforts of teachers in implementing the scientific approach in learning Indonesian Language. This research uses qualitative research methods, descriptive. The location of the research lies in the SMP Al Firdaus Sukoharjo. This research data is written from facts and phenomena that are conducted through observations, the main data sources are the Indonesian language teacher of the eight grade. Data collection techniques in the study uses multiple methods i.e., observation and interview. The validity test of the data is done by triangulation technique. The data is the interactive analysis. The Results of the study consists of 4 results: (1) the application of the scientific approach to the study of Indonesian language planning include; the preparation of the syllabus, RPP, and the media props. (2) the application of the scientific approach to the study of the Indonesian language in implementation include; scientific approach, phase of matter, the media, and the evaluation of learning. (3) the resistance of teachers in the application of the scientific approach to the study of the Indonesian languages, include;preparation of the RPP, liveliness asked, facilities and infrastructure, as well as inadequate assessment of which is quite complicated. (4) the efforts of teachers in overcoming obstacles include; preparation of the RPP need deliberation between teachers in the same lesson, giving motivation and direction at each stage of the scientific approach, the teacher initiative in providing media, and a simpler assessment format.
