Abstract
Students have a responsibility to develop in every stage of life. Often they face obstacles, difficulties, or deficiencies. Various factors can affect academic resilience, such as self-efficacy and social support. This study was conducted using a quantitative method involving 150 final semester students at the Faculty of Psychology, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. The instruments used in this study were the self-efficacy scale, social support, and academic resilience scale. Participants were determined using a purposive sampling technique with the criteria of final semester students who were working on their thesis. Data analysis using multiple regression analysis found that there was a very significant relationship between self-efficacy and social support with academic resilience R = 0.526 with significance = 0.000 (p <0.01). There was a very significant positive relationship between self-efficacy and academic resilience of students r = 0.474 with significance = 0.000 (p <0.01). There is a very significant positive relationship between social support and students' academic resilience r = 0.499 with significance = 0.000 (p < 0.01). The effective contribution of self-efficacy and social support variables to academic resilience is 32.4%, with details of social support influencing 17.71% and self-efficacy influencing 14.65%. The remaining 67.64% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. To improve academic resilience, self-efficacy and social support need to be improved.
