Abstract
Indonesia, with its hundreds of coffee bean varieties, and the current popularity of coffee shops, presents a compelling research opportunity. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of coffee shop locations and facilities in East Jakarta based on their classification, examine the origins of coffee bean producers used by these coffee shops, and analyze the impact of consumer satisfaction on the success of coffee shops in East Jakarta. This research employs both secondary and primary data. A sample location survey will be conducted to analyze the characteristics of coffee shop locations and facilities. Subsequently, data from interviews with coffee shop owners or operational staff will be processed. The data on the origins of the coffee beans used will be mapped to show the distribution points. To address the third objective, the impact of consumer satisfaction on the success of coffee shops, data obtained from interviews with coffee shop consumers will be processed through tabulation calculations. The results indicate that the most strategically located and well-facilitated coffee shops are large coffee shops. The most frequently used coffee beans by these shops are from West Sumatra (20%), followed by West Java (18%), Aceh (16%), West Sulawesi (12%), with 10% of coffee shops using beans from Central Java and Bali respectively, 7% from South Sulawesi, 6% from East Nusa Tenggara, and 1% from East Java. The coffee shops that received the highest consumer satisfaction ratings were large coffee shops, followed by MSME coffee shops, with medium-sized coffee shops receiving the lowest ratings.
