Abstract

Ponorogo is one of the regions in Indonesia that has a thick art called bumi reog. In Ponorogo reog is staged in a large place and can accommodate many people such as squares, squares and courtyards with high enthusiasm of the community, because it makes people who come not always get a comfortable position and visibility to enjoy the Reog Ponorogo show. So with the presence of amphitheater as a solution to overcome as well as become a great potential to increase the tourist attraction of Reog. The amphitheater will provide a better viewing experience, enhance the aesthetic value of the show, and open up opportunities for collaboration and creativity with proper concept planning. With a contextual approach where this approach runs in harmony with the Ponorogo environment including local architectural styles, physical environment structures, climate and community culture. But in the planning that is most concerned is the architectural concept of the amphitheater in accordance with the purpose of building the amphitheater including comfort to watch performances in the form of visual comfort, acoustic comfort and environmental comfort to watch. The location of the site is Sultanagung, Nologaten, Ponorogo District, Ponorogo Regency, East Java on Jalan Suromenggolo with a footprint area of 18,000 M2 and a recapitulation of the total size of the space based on the analysis of 3535,05 M2 with an amphitheater capacity that can accommodate 2768 people.
