Abstract
Sleman Regency from 2014 to 2018 the use of building land increased by 231.65 ha and rice fields decreased by 201.69 ha. The area of rice harvest in 2021 to 2023 decreased by around 1,702 ha. Uncontrolled conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural land will become a social, economic, and environmental threat on a national scale. The alignment of the level of land suitability to the RTRW is a material for evaluating the suitability of residential land which can overcome the conversion of land according to its designation. The purpose of this study was to determine the suitability of residential land in the Sleman Regency area and to analyze the alignment between the results of the suitability of residential land with the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) in Sleman Regency for 2021 - 2041. The method for determining the suitability of residential land uses scoring and overlay of land suitability parameters: slope, soil texture, surface drainage, land use, flood vulnerability, and distance to main roads. To determine the harmony of land suitability to spatial planning by overlaying the results of the suitability of residential land with the land use of the Sleman Regency RTRW map. The results of this study are that Sleman Regency based on the results shows that an area of 4,931.65 ha or 8.6% of land is very suitable (S1), suitable (S2) with an area of 19,247.89 ha or 33.57%, marginally suitable (S3) area of 24,116.45 ha or 42%, unsuitable location (N) with an area of 9,041.53 ha or 15.7% of the area of Sleman Regency. Harmony to (RTRW) namely the harmonious class has an area of 35,040.80 ha or 61% dominated by settlements while unharmonious land has an area of 22,439.92 ha or 39% of the area of Sleman Regency dominated by food crop areas. The increasing population growth rate, and strategic potential in the housing sector, will have an impact on the increasing need for residential land use.
