Abstract
The construction of toll roads aims to connect production centers with global markets and can facilitate the activities of goods, services, and community mobility in terms of time and distance. Surakarta City has a location at the meeting point of inter-city routes, this causes several common problems, especially traffic congestion. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of the Trans Java toll road on mobility, social, and economic conditions of the community in Surakarta City and to analyze the condition of the Tirtonadi terminal after the Trans Java toll road. The research method used in this study is descriptive quantitative with questionnaire sampling using the Slovin formula, secondary data from the Surakarta City BPS and the Tirtonadi terminal office. The questionnaire data for this research analysis uses multiple linear regression analysis and is processed using SPSS. The operation of the Trans Java toll road since December 2018 shows its impact on the economy of Surakarta City, the economic growth rate of Surakarta City after the operation of the toll road, namely in 2019, increased from 5.75% in 2018 to 5.78% in 2019. This study found that as much as 88.3% of the variation in the mobility of Surakarta city residents using the Trans Java toll road (Y) can be explained by the independent variables AL (X1), KP (X2), and KK (X3). The rest, around 11.7% of the consumptive behavior of Trans Java toll road users in the mobility of Surakarta City residents is influenced by other factors that were not investigated in this study. For the condition of the Tirtonadi terminal before the Trans Java toll road, it had the highest bus departure rate in May at 44,116, however, the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 had an impact on the decline in activity at the Tirtonadi terminal by 60% until after normal there was a slow increase but it has not been able to reach the figure before the Covid-19 pandemic.
