Abstract
Natural disasters including earthquakes leave a psychological impact on the people who survive. Losing family members, losing property in a short time causes individuals to become shocked, stressed, anxious and even depressed. Earthquake survivors who respond to situations with negative emotions show pessimistic emotions, have no hope or despair, get sick easily and lose positive psychological functions and tend to have difficulty recovering. This research will use training based on Javanese culture but applied to a different culture from previous research, namely the Suka Mandar culture. This research aims to test the effectiveness of narima ing pandum (NIP) training on earthquake survivors in Mamuju, West Sulawesi. The research subjects were earthquake survivors who had a moderate level of psychological well-being, totaling 8 people. This research uses an experimental method with a pre-post control group design. The measuring instrument used is the Ryff scales of psychological well-being with a reliability of α=0.890. NIP training was held in 3 meetings over three consecutive days. The first meeting was 145 minutes, the second meeting was 195 minutes and the third day was 120 minutes. Data analysis used the non-parametric Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and the non-parametric Mann-Whitney Test with a value of sig=.034 (p>0.05). The 2 results of the hypothesis test are that NIP training influences the increase in psychological well-being of earthquake survivors in Mamuju, West Sulawesi. So this training can be an alternative to improve psychological well-being in different cultures. Data analysis with the help of SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) 24.0 for Windows Program.
