Abstract

This research aims to describe traditional lurik woven products using non-machine looms in Tlingsing Cawas Village and to describe customer loyalty in recommending lurik weaving in Tlingsing Cawas Village. This research is qualitative research with an ethnographic design. The subjects of this research are traditional lurik shop owners, traditional lurik craftsmen, lurik weaving customers, the surrounding community, and traditional lurik weaving business competitors in Tlingsing Cawas village, while the object of this research is customer loyalty of traditional lurik weaving. The data collection methods used were observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The data validity technique in this research is through source triangulation. The stages of data analysis techniques include determining informants, interviewing informants, making ethnographic notes, asking descriptive questions, analyzing interviews, making ethnographic notes, making structural proposals, making toxonomics, asking contrast questions, componential analysis, finding cultural themes, and writing ethnography. The results of the research show that non-machine looms are a special attraction for customers because by using traditional tools the results will look neat, careful and with limited motifs, the characteristics of lurik products can be seen from the way they are made using traditional non-machine looms so that the resulting quality is better. Conformity of self-concept adapts to each person's characteristics and desires. Researchers concluded that customer loyalty for traditional lurik weaving is based on (1) Characteristics of traditional lurik weaving products in Tlingsing Cawas Village; (2) Characteristics of recommending products to other customers such as suitability of self-concept, customer liking and satisfaction using lurik, and experience.
