Abstract
UMKM Gitar Sukoharjo is one of the UMKM clusters in the Sukoharjo area. The guitar production center located in Mancasan Village, Baki District, Sukoharjo Regency is expected to become a fundamental component of the creative economy. To maintain competitiveness, businesses must prioritize the development and implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at maintaining and improving their current operations. MSME Guitar Sukoharjo has great potential to improve the welfare of the people around Solo. However, until now it can be assessed that the development of the Sukoharjo Guitar UMKM is very slow. The MSME development plan is prepared through a comprehensive SWOT analysis taking into account internal strengths and weaknesses, as well as external opportunities and threats. The aim of this research is to describe the MSME development strategy MSME development strategy based on the SWOT analysis carried out by guitar craftsmen in Baki District, Sukoharjo in terms of factors. external and internal. This research uses qualitative research methods. Based on the results of IFAS calculations, the internal conditions of the MSMEs in the guitar crafts sector in Baki District, Sukoharjo were obtained. The internal condition received a score for the strength factor of 2.2 and a weakness value of 1.02, which shows that the strengths are greater than the weaknesses. The results of the EFAS calculation showed that the external conditions of guitar craftsmen in Sukoharjo were obtained from an opportunity value of 2.2 and a threat value of 1.24, which shows that the opportunities are greater than the threats. This means that the MSME development strategy for the guitar crafts sector in Baki District, Sukoharjo is in a very profitable position because it has strengths and opportunities that can be utilized optimally. The appropriate strategy is the S-O strategy, namely using strategy and taking advantage of existing opportunities by utilizing the strengths they have. This means that the MSMEs in the guitar crafts sector in Baki District, Sukoharjo are in a very profitable position because they have strengths and opportunities that can be utilized optimally. Therefore companies must support aggressive growth policies. Based on the research results, it shows that the strategy for developing MSMEs in the guitar crafts sector in Baki District, Sukoharjo in improving the quality of guitar making has been able to be carried out well.
