Abstract

The Cultural Arts Museum is an important facility for maintaining, advancing and promoting cultural arts. Museums can be useful places for collecting, preserving, and exhibiting artistic and cultural treasures to the general public. As a result, art and culture museums need to be created in such a way as to meet the needs of visitors and enhance and promote existing culture. This study aims to design an art and culture museum with a contemporary architectural approach. Due to its ability to create creative and sustainable designs, the Contemporary architectural approach is considered relevant when designing museums. To carry out this study, a literature review on modern architecture, art, and museums was conducted. The output of this study is the design of an art and culture museum that incorporates contemporary architectural ideas. The design of this museum is distinctive and futuristic, taking into account the interaction between indoor and outdoor spaces. In addition, this design considers environmental aspects including energy efficiency and the use of environmentally friendly materials. The conclusion of this study is an art and culture museum designed using contemporary architectural concepts. Art and culture museums can have designs that are creative, sustainable and considerate of visitors by using contemporary architectural ideas. Therefore, the design of an art and culture museum with a contemporary architectural approach can be used as a reference in designing a museum that combines functional needs and architectural aesthetics.
