Abstract

Impact can be interpreted as influence or effect, in every decision taken by someone usually has its impact, both positive and negative impacts. A positive impact is an influence arising from an action that has good consequences for a person or the environment. Conversely, a negative impact is an influence arising from an action that is not good or bad for a person or the environment. A character can be interpreted as a fundamental value that builds a person's personality, is formed due to heredity and environmental influences, distinguishing him from other people, and is manifested in his attitude and behavior in everyday life. Research Objectives: (1) to describe the content contained in the animated film Lightyear 2022 and (2) to describe the impact of the animated film Lightyear 2022 on the development of children's character. This research is qualitative research with the type of library research. The research approach used to obtain data is phenomenological. Data collection through observation, documentation, and literature search online. As for the data validation technique with triangulation, data sources use primary and secondary sources. The data analysis technique used in this research is content analysis. The results of the study state that the animated film Lightyear 2022 has 2 impacts on the development of children's moral, namely the good and the harmful impacts. The excellent impact is that children can imitate teamwork, help each other, be friendly, never give up, and be responsible in films, while the lousy impact is that children imitate LGBT, selfish and arrogant behavior.
