Abstract

This study aims to explore Human Capital Development to Improve Performance in MSMEs. This type of research is a qualitative research. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with the owner of the UMKM Ngudi Rahayu Decorative Umbrella Craft in Juwiring. The results of the study show that the Human Capital Development Process is seen from education, experience, motivation, capability, innovation. To obtain information related to the development of human capital, the most dominating factor is external factor. Where business partners in the association can provide information and encourage human resource development in improving performance. The tendency to dig up information independently is still very minimal. Factors that are attractive to the development process are regeneration factors, marketing skills, capital and business groups (Paguyuban) in creating sustainable business, while factors that are obstacles to the human capital development process are limited human resources and less perceived benefits.
