Abstract

This study aims to describe (1) natural school planning at SD Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari; (2) implementation of natural schools at SD Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari; (3) evaluation of natural schools at SD Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari. This research uses a qualitative research type with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques used observation techniques, interviews and documentation. The validity of the data used triangulation of sources obtained through several sources, namely school owners, principals, teachers, and students of Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari Elementary School and method triangulation through observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used is interactive analysis with the steps of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that: (1) activities carried out at Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Elementary School such as teaching and learning activities and there are also supporting activities such as: commemoration of the Republic of Indonesia's Anniversary, cooking class, OTFA, SAPA, MILAD, market day, homestay, field trip, Ramadhan camp, Earth Day, Akhirussanah, inspiration class, children's seminar, commemoration of Islamic religious holidays, lively Idhul Adha.; (2) 1. Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari Elementary School has three curricula, namely the national curriculum, the Muhammadiyah special features curriculum, and the natural school curriculum. In the implementation of learning activities in natural schools 40% are carried out in class and 60% are carried out outside the classroom by utilizing the natural environment as a learning resource. The lesson content at SD Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari consists of: numeric, thematic, English, Javanese, tahfidz, al-Islam, Arabic. In carrying out natural school activities at SD Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari there are inhibiting factors such as external parties who do not support the existence of a school in the residents' environment because they are uncomfortable with noises that disturb the environment or it could also be because the roads are jammed to pass, and also from the sanitation service because with the nature school there will be more trash. There are also supporting factors for the natural school at SD Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari, namely the complete infrastructure facilities provided for students in learning activities; (3) Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari Elementary School is always looking for solutions to every obstacle encountered by communicating and deliberating to find the best decision. After carrying out the learning activities, SD Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari evaluates each of these learning activities carried out by the class teacher in each class by providing essay questions, multiple choice or oral questions related to the learning activities that have been carried out.
