Abstract

This research is motivated by the awareness of the importance of the role of parents in shaping the character of intelligent children intellectually, emotionally or spiritually. Parents are obliged to instill spiritual values in accordance with their religion. Children's spiritual intelligence is not only influenced by parenting patterns, but there are other factors such as environmental and internal factors of children. However, the focus of this study is on parenting factors with the research title "The influence of parenting patterns on children's spiritual intelligence in SMP Negeri 1 Jogorogo in the 2022/2023 academic year". This study aims to determine (1) the influence of parenting styles on children's spiritual intelligence at SMPN 1 Jogorogo in the academic year 2022/2023; and (2) How big is the influence of parenting style on children's spiritual intelligence at SMPN 1 Jogorogo for the academic year 2022/2023. This research uses a descriptive quantitative research method with the type of field research (Field Research). The results of this study indicate that: 1) The results of the t-value test are known that the t-count > table value (10.257 > ), it can be concluded that the H0 hypothesis is rejected and the H1 hypothesis influence between parenting on the spiritual intelligence of children at SMP Negeri 1 Jogorogo for the academic year 2022/2023; and 2) Based on the results of the coefficient of determination, it is known that parenting has an effect of 77.6% on children's spiritual intelligence in SMP Negeri 1 Jogorogo, while the remaining 22.4% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
