Abstract
This study aims to analyze the relationship between work competence and employee performance. Analyzing the relationship between work motivation and employee performance. Analyzing the relationship between competence on employee performance and the work environment as a moderating variable. Analyzing the relationship between work motivation on employee performance with the work environment as a moderating variable. The population in this study were employees of the Inspectorate of Karanganyar Regency while the sample was 54 employees of the Inspectorate of Karanganyar Regency. The results of this study prove that the competence variable has a significant effect on performance. The motivation variable has a significant effect on performance. Work environment variables have a significant effect on performance. The variable competence* work environment has a significant effect on performance. The motivation variable* work environment has a significant effect on performance, thus the proposed hypothesis is proven true.
