Abstract

This study focuses on the topic of revenge that occurs in the Disney’s Cruella movie. The theory used for this research is the feminism approach and characterization. This research is a qualitative research. Researchers collected data in this study by watching movies, capturing important scenes, and noting important words in the film. There are two sources of data for this research. Cruella films are primary data, while articles, books, scientific books, and journals are related to the topic. This study aims to determine the indicators of revenge in the Cruella film, describe the revenge in the Cruella film, and the specific reasons for the Cruella film inserting revenge. The results of the study are as follows: (1) indicators of revenge: (a) ambition, insensitivity, and rebelliousness; (2) description of revenge: (a) Cruella de Vil’s character, (b) storyline, (c) picture and sound effects, (d) diction; (3) the researcher writes that there is a revenge factor in this film.
