Abstract
Literary works are considered as the result of the author's view and then poured into the result as a picture of the medium of expression. Literary works have aesthetics or beauty in every picture. Every changing times there will always be a growing mass media. For example, the use of YouTube today is more famous among the world than television. The existence of YouTube is easier to find according to what we want. This research is a literary research with a qualitative approach method. The objectives of this study are 1) to describe the figurative language of poetry on Fiersa Besari's youtube account, 2) to analyze the imagery of poetry on Fiersa Besari's youtube account, 3) to implement it as Indonesian language teaching material in high school. The figurative language that will be studied are: metaphorical figure of speech, simile figure of speech, personification figure of speech, and idiom. Imagery to be studied: sight, hearing, movement, touch, and smell. The research design used is library technique, listening technique, and note-taking technique. The focus of the object is Fiersa Besari's youtube account. The data taken are the upload date of the poem and the primary data source. Data collection techniques using observation techniques and content assessment techniques. The poems that will be analyzed are: For you, There is Your Face in the Skyline, Bentala, Loving You Is a Matter of Sincerity, and We Have Us. The results of this study reveal that in figurative language which dominates there is personification figure of speech, and imagery is visual imagery. And the implementation of teaching materials in high school is very suitable to be used as teaching materials.
