Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between social support variables and self-concept on the work readiness of final year students. The subjects in this study final year 2018 students who are writing a thesis at the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta majoring in psychology, with a total of 84 people. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a link between social support and self-concept on job readiness. The technique used in taking the sample is purposive sampling. Methods to collect data using social support scale, self concept scale and job readiness scale. Analysis of the data used using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS 16.0. In the data analysis between the two independent variables (social support and self-concept) with the dependent variable (Work Readiness) the results obtained for the coefficient value of (Rxy) = 13,661 with a significant of p = 0.000 (p <0.05), so it can be said that there is a significant correlation between the independent variable and the dependent variable in final year students.
