Abstract
This study aims to (1) describe the elements that make up the novel Bidadari Bermata Bening by Habiburahman El Shirazy (2) describe the inner conflict of the main character in the novel, and (3) implement the inner conflict of the main character in the novel in student teaching materials. The type and design of this research is using a qualitative research type with a content analysis design, the object of this research is a formal object, the data and data sources of this research are the inner conflict contained in the Bidadari Bermata Bening Novel. The data collection technique used by the author in this study is a literature study technique, namely by reading and studying the whole novel and then looking for words, expressions, sentences and discourses that contain conflicts. The data analysis technique in this study used heuristic and hermeneutic reading methods. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded as follows: (1) the structure of the novel Bidadari Bermata Bening. The theme of this novel is about a girl who struggles in dealing with problems in her life and struggles to find the person she loves (2) a form of inner conflict experienced by the main character which consists of an approaching conflict, this conflict arises when there are two motives that are all positive. Approaching distant conflict, this conflict arises if at the same time two opposing motives arise regarding an object, one motive is positive (pleasant), the other negative (unpleasant). Conflicts move away, conflict occurs if at the same time, two negative motives arise (3) the implementation of the inner conflict of the main character in the novel Bidadari Bermata Bening by Habiburrahman El Shirazy, using Basic Competence 3.18 Examining the elements of fiction and non-fiction books that are read.
