Abstract
This research investigates how the effort for saving human embryo of Juno reflected in Jason Reitman’s Juno movie especially viewed from individual psychological approach. Therefore, the study analyzes the movie in term of its structural elements and based on the individual psychological approach. This study belongs to qualitative study. In this method, the writer uses two data sources, namely primary and secondary data sources. The primary data sources and the object of the study are the structural elements of the movie, while the secondary data sources are those related to topic of the research. The result of the analysis shows the following conclusions. First, based on the structural analysis, it is evident that in this movie, Jason Reitman, the director, wants to utter his idea that human life more precious than reputation or social respect. Secondly, based on the individual psychological analysis, it is apparent that in this movie, Jason Reitman illustrates a psychological phenomenon in which a sixteen-year-old girl has to decide whether she has to do an abortion or keeps her pregnancy. In this movie, the director demonstrates how the young girl copes with the problems and makes every effort to find the prospective parents for her baby.
