Abstract
During Covid-19 pandemic, Health Care Workers (HCW) are at the frontlines in the fight againts Covid-19 virus, which makes them as a group with the most high risk of infection. Fight againts Covid-19 virus is a duty that must be carried out by Health Care Workers (HCW) with work discipline. Work discipline is willingness of workers to obey all of intance rules. One of factors that affect work discipline is social support. Health Care Workers with high social supports were expected to carry out their works with good work discipline, otherwise low or poor social support will cause low work discipline. The purpose of this study was to nexamine of how is the relationship between social support and work discipline of Health Care Workers in Jumapolo Public Health Center (Puskesmas Jumapolo) during Covid-19 pandemic. The hypothesis to be proven in this study was there is a positive relationship between work discipline and social support. This study use all Jumapolo Public Health Center staffs as a research subject with total amount of 58 people. Technique sampling used in this study was total technique sampling. Data collection techniques were carried out by social support scale and work discipline scale, then correlational analyzed using Product Moment technique within help of SPSS version 23.0. The results show that there was a strong correlation from social support and work discipline to Health Care Workers, the quantity result is 0,670 with Sig (2 tailed) = 0,000 (p<0,01), which means the higher social support were received cause the higher work discipline by Health Care Workers. The effective contribution obtained from is 0,488 , which means social supports affect for work discipline is 48,8% and 51,2% influenced by factors that are not mentioned in this study. Those results indicate that social supports has a significant role in improving work discipline and this study hypothesis can be proven true.
