Abstract
Online learning during the pandemic COVID-19 encourages junior high school students’ self-regulation learning of mathematics. This study case aimed to investigate the perspective of junior high school students with self-regulated learning mathematics online during the COVID-19 pandemic based on Zimmerman's model. Data collection techniques with in-depth interviews and documentation. Data validity uses data triangulation and research time extension. The data has been processed through inductive analysis. Students’ self-regulation learning mathematics showed by forming initiatives obtained from external influences and self motive, and formulating mathematics learning plans according to their learning style and their circumstances at the learning intention stage. At the learning action stage, students carry out learning plans and activities, handle learning problems, focus on mathematics learning plans, apply learning timings, don't cheat, maximize self-ability, and self-confidence. At the learning evaluation stage, students express self-learning control through the lack of teacher material, reviewing the assignments result that have been corrected by the teacher, reviewing learning methods, and observing the decrease and increase in mathematics learning outcomes. Finally, students gain the intention to learn mathematics again. These students’ expressions for the teacher, can use as a consideration in improving the quality of mathematics learning during the transition period.
