Abstract
Exclusive breastfeeding support the development and the growth of babies. It contains antibodies that can be prevent babies from the various disease. Riskesdas show that the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia on 2018 is 37,3%. One of the factors that can be affect exclusive breastfeeding is mother's education level. The higher of mother's education level the easier a mother to receive information and easier to apply it in life. Objective is Analyze the relationship of mother’s education level and exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia. Methodology used a literature (narrative) review method by analyzing cross-sectional research journal articles. The inclusion criteria used articles published in the last 10 years from journals indexed by Sinta (minimum Sinta 4) or indexed by Scopus, articles are in the form of full text in Indonesian or English, research subjects are babies in aged 0-24 months, and research the relationship between variables of mother's education level and the practice of exclusive breastfeeding. Articles found in the PubMed and Google Scholar databases. This research found 9 journal articles with a sample of 50 – 237. From 9 articles, the prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding ranged from 11.7 to 62.4%. There are 32.9-74.5% of mothers who completed education up to college level and 8.7%-67.1% others only attended junior high school level. From the analysis, there are 5 research articles which conclude that the mother's education level is positively related to the practice of exclusive breastfeeding. Therefore, mother's education level is one of the factors that influence exclusive breastfeeding. Mothers in higher education is easily to receive information and they want to find the other information.
