Abstract

This study aims to analyze the novel entitled 13 Reason Why, to find out the character viewed from psychological perspective. And the kind and how the personality traits and preference are reflected on the character. This study applies the qualitative methods and use psychological theory. The character viewed on psychological persepective has psychological needs, safety needs, the love and belonging needs, esteem needs, self actualization needs. There are five kinds of personality traits and preference such as extraversion, agreebleness, neuroticism, openness, and conscientiousness. The way personality traist and preference are reflected there are theme, plot, character, setting, point of view and moral.
