Abstract
The focus of this study was to find out more about the description of self-efficacy and medication adherence of hypertension patients with complications at the Pajang Health Center Surakarta. The purpose of this study was to describe the self-efficacy of hypertensive patients with complications at the Pajang Surakarta Health Center and to determine the level of adherence to taking medication for hypertension patients with complications at the Pajang Surakarta Health Center. This research, which was conducted in January – February 2021, used non-experimental research without intervention or treatment. This study also uses aapproach cross sectional and descriptive design which aims to describe the actual state of the object, the researcher only describes what a phenomenon and variable are. In this study, the sample was taken using total sampling, which is a sampling technique where all members of the population were sampled and the size of the sample used as a study was 71 respondents with hypertension with complications. The results of this study can be seen that as many as 42 people (59.2%) have high self-efficacy and 29 people (40.8%) have low efficacy, while the results of medication adherence can be seen that as many as 64 respondents (90 ,1%) are obedient in taking medication, while 36 respondents (9.9%) are quite obedient in taking medication, and 0% or none of them are not obedient in taking medication.
