Abstract

The increasingly widespread spread of Covid-19 has made the government oblige all people to be active at home. This study aims to determine the relationship between the role of parents in courageous learning with adolescent psychological well-being. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive relationship between the role of parents and psychological well-being. The research method in this study uses quantitative. The subjects in this study were students of SMA Batik 1 Surakarta with a population of 1,350 students and a sample of 120 students of class XI of SMA Batik 1 Surakarta who were carrying out bold learning. This research uses quota sampling technique. The tools used in data collection are the Parental Role Scale and the Psychological Welfare Scale. On the psychological well-being scale there are 26 items with validity between 0.66 – 0.83 while on the parental role scale there are 18 items with validity between 0.66 – 0.83. Reliability on the psychological well-being scale is 0.701 and on the parental role scale is 0.807. Data analysis was carried out using Pearson's product moment correlation analysis which was assisted by using the SPSS for Windows program. The results of the analysis of the data obtained show a correlation coefficient of = 0.263 and p = 0.002 (p˂0.05) which indicates a very significant positive correlation between the role of parents and psychological well-being. This research is expected to have benefits and uses in the field of psychology education, especially regarding the science of the role of parents and psychological well-being. The second benefit is also expected to be applied as a supporting material for further research and the benefits of the practice of providing reading references to the public in the focus of the problem of the role of parents in learning courageous with adolescent psychology. This research is also expected to provide and recommend reference inputs on the same phenomenon. Based on these results, it can be said that the research hypothesis is proven.
