Abstract

Abstract In a pandemic situation, learning methods suddenly change online, thus it is necessary to adapt to learners, one of which is students. Adjustment is very important, especially during a pandemic, so that students can maintain their academic achievements. Various factors can affect a person's level of adjustment, one of which is social support. In this study, the purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between social support and adjustment during the COVID-19 pandemic, the population used in this study was students the faculty of psychology in the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta who were undergoing online lectures. Then the sample used in this study amounted to 100 people, the sampling technique used was purposive sampling with the criteria of active psychology students at Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta who were running online lectures. The data analysis in this study using Product Moment correlation analysis with the help of the SPSS for windows program obtained the results of r = 0.615 with a significance of p = 0.000 (p <0.05), thus this study shows a very significant positive relationship between social support and self- adjustment, which means that the higher the social support provided, the higher a person's adjustment will be, on the other hand, if the social support provided is low, the adjustment will also be lower.
