Abstract

This study aims to determine how the effect of return on assets (ROA), return on equity (ROE), net profit margin (NPM), and earnings per share (EPS) on firm value (PBV) with assets as a variable that moderates the independent variable. The research sample was taken using purposive sampling technique until there were 24 property and real estate sub-sector companies listed on the IDX for the 2018-2019 period. The research data was obtained from secondary data, in the form of annual reports of each company on the Indonesia Stock Exchange website (www.idx.co.id). The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, MRA analysis, and hypothesis testing using SPSS. Based on the results of the data processing, it is known that the ROA variable has a positive and significant effect, ROE has a positive and insignificant effect, while the NPM and EPS variables have a significant negative effect on firm value. Total assets as a moderating variable has a positive and insignificant relationship in moderating ROA, NPM, and EPS variables. While the ROE variable has a negative and insignificant relationship with the moderating variable.
