Abstract

This study aims to describe the use, effectiveness, constraints, and solutions to the use of Audio Visual media in combination with the Giving Question and Getting Answers strategy in increasing understanding of Indonesian democracy values in grade nine A Muhammadiyah Seven Middle School Banyudono, Boyolali Regency 2020/2021 school year. This researcher uses Mixing Methods or a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. The quantitative research design uses Pre-experimental with One Group Pretest Posttest Design, while the qualitative uses case studies. Quantitative data collection techniquesused tests, while qualitative by observation and interviews. Test the validity of quantitative data collectors (in the form of tests) using the Product Moment correlation formula with rough numbers, while the qualitative data used triangulation of sources and techniques. Thes the reliabillity of the test instrument wiht the KR formula 20. Quantitative data analysis used Paired Sample T-test. Qualitative data analysis used a flow model. The results showed that the Pretest average value was 60.60, insreasing to 79.40 in the Posttest. Paried Sample T-test shows that the value of tcount is greater than ttable, namely 9.998 > 0.2064. Based on these results, it can be seen that there is an increase in the average value of the Pretest and Posttest. The hypothesis proposed in the form of Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a difference between before treatment (Pretest) and after treatment (Posttest) through the use of Audio Visual media, a combination of Giving Question and Getting Answers strategies in grade nine A Muhammadiyah Junior High School seven Banyudono, Boyolali Regency 2020/2021 school year. The obstacle faced is the limited time given. An alternative solution to overcome these obstacles is that researchers arrive early. The conclusion above implies that teachers who want students' understanding of the values of Indonesian democracy to be high, it is very appropriate that learning using Audio Visual media is a combination of the Giving Question and Getting Answers strategy.
