Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the effect of school leadership, school culture and teacher performance to the school effectiveness in all Muhammadiyah senior high school of Karanganyar regency either directly or indirectly. The object of this research is teachers of Muhammadiyah High Schools in Karanganyar Regency which consists of 4 schools, namely Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar Senior High Schools, Muhammadiyah 3 Karanganyar Senior High Schools, Muhammadiyah 5 Karanganyar Senior High Schools, and Darul Arqam Muhammadiyah Senior High School. The population is 127 teachers and the sample is 96 Muhammadiyah high school teachers in Karanganyar districts. The data collection method uses a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used regression, path analysis, t test, F test, and PROCESS test. This study was a quantitative descriptive research. Data was collected by questionnaire. Analysis of data was by path analysis and hypothesis testing. The results of this study indicated that school leadership directly as well as mediated by teacher performance significantly affected the school effectiveness (indicated by probability value of 0.000 < 0.05) meaning that if the school leader carried out his roles and functions in a good way the school effectiveness would increase. School culture directly as well as mediated by teacher performance significantly affected the school effectiveness meaning (indicated by probability value of 0.000 < 0.05) that if the school culture was well developed and conducive the school effectiveness would also increase. Teacher performance directly affected the school effectiveness meaning that if the performance of teachers was carried out professionally the school effectiveness would also increase. Together, school leadership, school culture and teacher performance significantly influenced the effectiveness of school (indicated by probability value of 0.000 < 0.05). This means that if the school leadership was appropriate, school climate was well developed and the performance of teachers was carried out professionally the school effectiveness would also increase.
