Abstract

Toddlers are children aged 1 to 3 years, where at this time the child has more moving activity skills that show advanced motor development and have a high curiosity and able to explore objects around him. Through the play the child gets developmental stimulation, bermain allows the child to expend more energy and release the tension that is held back. Children can feel safe and children can also express their feelings while playing. The type of game that is favored by toddlers is to play parallel play. The purposeof the studyidentified an overview of parents' knowledge about play activities as developmental stimulation in toddlers. This type of research is descriptive quantitative, which describes parents' knowledge of play activities as developmental stimulation in toddlers with a cross sectional approach. The number of samples in this study as many as 86 respondents with criteria that have been determined. The result of this study is the majority of 26-35 year olds as many as 61 respondents (70.9%), the work of parents is IRT as many as 62 respondents (72.1%), parental education is high school as many as 54 respondents (62.8%), while for the knowledge of respondents as many as 76 respondents (88,4%) have good knowledge in providing developmental stimulation and as many as 10 respondents (11,6%) have sufficient knowledge in providing developmental stimulation. The advice for the next study is to conduct research with more samples and in a wider scope and use more than one variable, and it is expected that in the next study there will be treatments such as pre-test and post-test.
