Abstract

Procurement of goods and services or known as auctions are widely conducted by government and private agencies. The problem that occurs in the auction is the failure to win a project.This study aims to determine the causes of project failure in technical evaluation, administrative evaluation and price bidding. The survey data obtained were then analyzed by comparing the percentage of roadwork failures with the percentage of building failures.The results of the analysis for the percentage of road failures obtained data of 43% on the technical evaluation, 30% for the administrative evaluation, and 15% for the price bidding. Meanwhile, the percentage of failure in building works is 36% for technical evaluation, 37% for administrative evaluation, and 15% for price bidding. The predominant failures of road and building works are found in the technical and administrative evaluations.
