Abstract
Increased number. COVID-19 cases occur quite quickly and have a very broad impact because the direction of the spread is no longer limited to one country, but there has been a flow of cross-border distribution. Based on the epidemiological characteristics observed so far in China, everyone is assumed to be vulnerable, although there may be risk factors that increase susceptibility to infection. Since the emergence of the issue regarding the spread of COVID-19, UNS Hospital has attempted to establish a COVID-19 Task Force which involves doctors, nurses, radiologists, laboratories, and medical recorders as well as non-medical support. In this Task Force nurses have a major role in screening admissions and care. The purpose of this study was to determine the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation of the COVID-19 task force unit nurses who carry out nursing services during the pandemic. This research is a type of descriptive quantitative research by conducting a survey. The sample used was 40 respondents with quota sampling. For data collection using an online questionnaire in the form of a Google Form which is distributed or sent to respondents via the Whatsapp application. The study was conducted from June 2020 to December 2020 in the COVID-19 treatment room at UNS Hospital. Data analysis used descriptive analysis based on characteristics. The results showed that intrinsic factors: positive attitudes, and extrinsic factors of wages or salaries, honor and recognition, job security, work atmosphere, and leadership style motivated the nurses of the Covid-19 task force unit of UNS Hospital in carrying out nursing services during the Covid-19 pandemic.
