Abstract

Laboratory practice or also called laboratory learning is a learning method or form of learning used to jointly teach psychomotor abilities (skills), knowledge, and affective (attitudes) using laboratory facilities. Musculoskeletal is a structured system that supports body shape and contributes to movement involving the muscles, skeleton, joints, ligaments, tendons, and nerves. The purpose of this study is to determine the readiness of students in handling cases, and see whether the handling of patients is in accordance with the theory that has been taught during lectures. The sample technique used in this method is purposive sampling. The number of samples in this study were as many as 97 respondents in this study were students of the Physiotherapy Study Program, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. Data analysis in this study used the Kolmogorof Smirnoff normality test and found that the data were normally distributed. Data analysis based on interval data measurement scale, data analysis using simple regression technique. The simple regression test serves to determine the effect of the independent variable on the learning method and the dependent variable on the scores of laboratory and clinical practice students. The results of the interpretation of the Pearson Product Moment test show that the value of p = 0.001 in the correlation test indicates that there is a relationship between the learning method of the musculoskeletal subject and the scores of laboratory and clinical practice students.
