Abstract
Quest for the meaning of life is one of the issues that occur in the film Anna Karenina (2012). The process of finding the meaning of life that will determine how a person determines his life. In the process of a quest for the meaning of life, humans will be faced with various choices. Human faced a different situation, one of which is an affair situation. The search for the meaning of life in an affair situation is one of the issues in Anna Karenina's film, which is closely related to conditions in the real world. The purpose of this study is to identify indicators of a love affair, depiction of a love affair, and reveal Wright's reasons for overcoming the quest for the meaning of life that occurs in the life of a love affair. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data from this study were divided into two, namely, primary data and secondary data. The primary data of this study is the film Anna Karenina (2012), while the secondary data of this study is all data related to this research issue. The results of this study are various indicators of infidelity in the movie Anna Karenina (2012), the depiction of a love affair can be seen from various media in the movie, namely various scenes (visuals), various dialogues (words), and audio supporting the movie (audio), and Wright's reasons for overcoming the search for meaning in life. The conclusion of this study is the search for the meaning of life that Anna lived in the film Anna Karenina (2012), who is faced with an affair situation. All the choices made by Anna are in the process of finding the meaning of life and the meaning of life. Anna is living together with Prince Vronsky. This can also be interpreted as evidence of the existence of the character Anna. Anna proves her existence by choosing all the options that are presented to her based on her own choices and the choices made by Anna can be explained using an existential perspective.
