Abstract

The Qur’an is the most important point for Islam, which is guide to all manking. In learning the Qur’an there are several possible methods, one of which is the Ummi Method. Many educational institutions such as public and private schools, boarding schools, TPQ and even online learning are promoted and use learning and memorizing the Qur’an by Ummi Method. From this suggest that Ummi’s method is a Qur’an method of learning worthy of being calculated and interesting to discuss even more deeply. This research is study to express the application of Ummi’s method to memorizing the Qur’an in the Boarding Hut Daarul Fath, with the focus of the study including 1) the quality of teachers and tures in applying the Ummi’s method in the houses, 2) Ummi’s method to the ability to memorize the Qur’an student in the boarding, 3) Ummi’s method’s to impact on the ability to memorize the Qur’an in the Boarding School. This research uses a qualitative approach, the collection data-gathering technique used is observation, structured interviews and documentation. Analysis data through data collection measures, data reduction, data presentation, and deduction deduction. The validity technique of the data used is the triangulasi of the technique and the source triangulation. Research indicates that 1) the quality of teachers and advisers in appliying Ummi’s method was consistent with the standards prescribed Ummi Foundation, 2) the teacher’s practice of Ummi’s method of memorizing the Qur’an was targeted and was effective, 3) the application of the Ummi’s method used in booths seemed to have good effect, though at very limited time in it’s learning the method of Ummi seemed less effective to apply to the Boarding.
