Abstract
This study is sociolinguistic study. The goals of this research are to show the use of the types address terms and to explain function of address terms in Aristocratic movie. This research uses manuscript to collect the data. The data source collects from Braveheart, The Man in the Iron Mask and The Last Samurai movie. The patterns of address terms will be analyzes use tu and vous theory of Wardhaugh (2015) and the function of address terms analyzes use Chaika (1982) theory. The result show that first, there are seven patterns of address terms: mutual tu with 14,92%, giving tu 23, 88%, mutual vous 17,91%, giving vous-receiving tu 14, 92%, giving tu-receiving vous 10,44%, giving vous 13,43% and 4,47% receiving vous. Second, the researcher find three function of address terms: showing intimacy 35, 82%, showing power difference 28,35% and respect 35, 82%.
