This research is a qualitative descriptive study with the subject of grade 1 elementary school teachers in the jasmine cluster, Wonogiri district, Wonogiri district. The results of this study indicate that the first language (B1) of students in the jasmine cluster is Javanese, which is obtained from the people in their environment. The second language (B2) of students in the jasmine cluster is Indonesian, which is obtained from their formal learning environment, namely school. The role of the teacher in making it easier for students to acquire Indonesian vocabulary, namely the teacher acts as a facilitator by providing facilities in the form of using strategies, learning resources and learning media. In teaching and learning activities in class, the teacher acts as a guide who carries out guidance by intensively carrying out new vocabulary learning both orally and in writing by utilizing available learning resources at school. As well as carrying out directions to students to read books before teaching and learning activities begin by using the reading corner. The teacher also acts as a planner in which the teacher is able to select and implement vocabulary learning strategies by trying to adapt learning strategies to children's characteristics. This is evidenced by the use of various learning strategies. In addition, the teacher also acts as an evaluator who monitors the acquisition of students' vocabulary by looking at the ability and activeness of students in applying these vocabulary to speaking skills both telling stories in front of the class, communicating and actively questioning with the teacher. And by looking at the ability of students in completing assignments that have been given both verbally in the form of re-expressing the vocabulary and the meaning that has been obtained, or in writing in the form of making sentences using new vocabulary. After that the teacher confirms the understanding of the meaning of the vocabulary used by the students, whether the student really understands the new vocabulary they have obtained. The next teacher's role is as a supervisor of strategies, resources and learning media where it is known that the teacher tries to help, improve, and critically assess the process of teaching and learning activities using resource and media strategies.
