Abstract

Many of the environmentalists who advise the industrial community to keep doing sustainable developments that pay attention to environmental conditions. However the economic and social interests of the community make environmental problems worse. Nature becomes one of the interesting objects when combined with literary works. One of them is through green literature, where literature plays a role in saving the environment. Ecocritical development through green literature in junior and senior high school students is needed so that the younger generation understands green literature. The originality of the natural environment will be maintained because it increases awareness of nature even though it is teetering due to various interests of the political elite. The purpose of this study is explains the theory of eco-criticism, learning, and green literature also describes the concept of developing eco-criticism of literature in green literature learning. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection used in grounded theory. This research resulted in the concept of eco-criticism, green literature and green literature learning. The syntax of learning green literature found in this study is divided into two, namely the development of eco-criticism of learning green poetry and learning of eco-criticism of short stories.
