Abstract

Problem: Stroke is a serious health problem in the world. Stroke patients experience a decrease in oxygen saturation on average. To overcome this, a head up intervention and murotal therapy are needed to prevent a decrease in oxygen saturation. Objective : The purpose of this study was to prove that the provision of a head up position and murotal therapy had an effect on the value of oxygen saturation. Methods: This research method is a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test models where there are 38 respondents divided into control and intervention groups. The intervention group was given Headup treatment for 3 days accompanied by Murotal for 30 minutes a day for 3 days. While the control group was not given any treatment. However, both groups were subjected to pretest and posttest. Analysis of the data used for the paired group used the Wilcoxon test while the unpaired group used Mann Whitney. Results: The results show that the data on the characteristics of the respondents in the two groups are the same. The distribution of the saturation value data is not normal but homogeneous. While the bivariate analysis showed the Wilcoxon test with p = 0.571 (p > 0.05) for the control group. While the intervention group p = 0.005 (p <0.05). As for the unpaired group test (Mann Whitney). showed a significance value of p = 0.022 (p < 0.05) Conclusion: So it can be concluded that giving the head up position and murotal therapy has an effect on increasing the oxygen saturation value in stroke patients
