Abstract

Affix is an affixed word that is often used in writing student essays. Affixes used in writing student essays also have meaning. For example, the word charming comes from the word charm and has the affixes of men who have the meaning 'cause to be'. The purpose of this study is to describe the types, meanings and affix relations with the development of student personality. The method used in this study is the agih method. The distribution method is a method of data analysis where the determinant is precisely part of the language. The results of this study were found as many as 73 of 25 students description texts. The most commonly used affixes me- students are 14 affixes. The meaning of affix was as many as 25 kinds of findings. The meaning of affixes in the use of affixes is most commonly found in the use of 6 kinds of affixes. The relationship between the use of affixes with the development of student personality is in making students' essays using words that represent objects, events, and their relationship to objects and circumstances around them.
